Welthy is operated by Venture Leaves, Inc., acting as the data controller for personal data processed through the service.

What we collect

• Account data: email, username, password (hashed).
• Profile data: learning goals, money personality, progress, streaks, XP, gems.
• Usage data: lessons completed, answers, mistakes, time spent in the app.
• Device data: browser, device type, approximate location (from IP), language.
• Support messages: anything you send us.

Why we collect it

• Account creation & service delivery: contractual necessity.
• Personalization & AI tutoring: our legitimate interest in giving you a useful product, and your consent for AI-personalized content.
• Security & fraud prevention: legitimate interest in protecting Welthy and our users.
• Product improvement: aggregated/anonymized analytics under legitimate interest.
• Customer support: contractual necessity.
• Marketing communications: consent (opt-in only; you can unsubscribe anytime).

Who we share data with

• Service providers (subprocessors): hosting (Lovable Cloud / Supabase), AI model providers (for lesson generation), analytics tools, email providers.
• Paddle.com Market Limited — our Merchant of Record for processing payments, subscription management, tax compliance, and invoicing.
• Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where required.
• Authorities where required by law.

International transfers

Some of our subprocessors are based outside the UK / EEA. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses, adequacy decisions, or equivalent safeguards.

How long we keep data

We retain account and learning data for as long as your account is active, plus a short period thereafter for legal and accounting purposes. Logs are typically kept for up to 12 months. You can request deletion at any time.

Your rights

Subject to local law, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. UK/EEA users may complain to their supervisory authority. We aim to respond within 1 month.

We use appropriate technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls, and audited infrastructure.
